Kids Just Wanna Have Fun

Today Sydney and I went to the Children's Museum. I had fun, but I think I'm going to like it much more once I'm a little bigger.

First we went into the Tot Spot to climb all over the place. I liked this puzzle.

The backhoe was pretty cool, too.

Then Mommy and I went into the bubble room while Sydney played in the sand at Sandy Island.

See why I love Sydney so much?

The Music room was fun.

And I liked watching Sydney and her Daddy on the news.

I got to drive a real car.

And then we had fun learning about air.

We had fun at the museum!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Hi from my new stroller!

Is it super cool or what?

Mommy and I walked over to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner for Grandpa's birthday.

Here's cake:

And here's Grandma playing the splashing game:

Food, glorious food!

Mommy didn't take pictures tonight, but I had a great new meal - hamburgers! Mommy made them herself and the one she made especially for me was nice and small - she called it a Samburger. I usually don't take to new food that well, but the Samburger was really good! I fed myself a pretty good amount of it before I'd had enough and started spitting it all over the place. I also had cheese, pickles and corn. And 2 cookies for dessert.

I look mahvelous!

Today we were supposed to visit Susan, but she wasn't feeling well and that made me sad.

Mommy and Daddy tried all day to get me to nap. First, we went cruising in my super cool buggy:

Then I fell asleep in a walk in the stroller, but I woke up when Daddy brought me inside. Mommy took me out in the stroller again and when we were waiting for the light to change, she made a million funny faces at me and I was laughing so hard that I couldn't breathe. Two cars stopped to tell Mommy how cute she was for making the silly faces - one of them was full of kids who were laughing, too! When we got home, Mommy tried again, but I was pooped from all the laughing:

We came home, had lunch and boobs and then we all went into Brooklyn. Daddy went skating and Mommy and I went shopping around. It was HOT. Mommy passed by an old fashioned barber shop and the man inside looked nice, so she decided to have my bangs trimmed because they're in my eyes a lot. She thinks this was my first haircut, but Tamir (the man who cut my hair) said it was only a bang trim and didn't really count. Mommy was nervous anyway.

Here I am waiting for my haircut - see how hot and sweaty I am?

Mommy was so excited to put me in the airplane chair, but I found it a little confusing:

Tamir said that Mommy could take a picture and that he would hold me, but as soon as Mommy walked away, I got a little upset:

She loves that picture - she calls it a "classic".

So instead of using the cool airplane chair, Mommy held me while Tamir blew bubbles to make me happy again and trimmed my bangs.

Tamir even gave Mommy a bag with my hair clippings in it!

Daddy loves my haircut, but Mommy says she has to get used to it. She thinks it makes me look like a big boy.

After that, we all went out for Mexican food, except Mommy says mine was MESSican food because I flung most of it on the floor. I had 2 bites of guacamole, a quesadilla and 2 bites of Mommy's chicken. And ha ha, I napped on the ride home - at 7pm!

We're gonna have a party, party...

Well, we sort of already did!

Yesterday was a BEAUTIFUL day - the weather (71 degrees, sunny, breezy) couldn't have been nicer. We were up at 6 and I actually went back to sleep for an hour, but Mommy and Daddy and Grandma were running around like crazy setting up for my 1st birthday party! I went to Grandma and Grandpa's to stay out of the way - look what they did while I was gone:

I had no idea. When I came home from Grandma and Grandpa's, Daddy picked up Mommy's friend Kari at the train - I met her and then Daddy put me down for a monster (2 1/2 hours!) nap. When I woke up, there were tons of people in the back yard!

Here's Hannah Bella and her Mommy:

A really great shot of Nico and his Mommy and Daddy:

Here I am with Michael and my cousins:

My best pals Aidan and Sydney:

Baby Grace and Isabella:

Aunt Julie did a great job grilling and Uncle Dave was her assistant - Auntie Kari did everything else, I think!:

Me, in action:

Janeth and Logan:

Presents - all for me!!!:

Here's Mommy being silly:

Mommy's friend Amy took photos - this is the BEST one of my cake!:

This is what I look like BEFORE cake:

One word: "WOW!!!":

Everybody was singing to me!:

Mmmmmmmmmmmm - cake time:

Oh, it gets so much worse.

And then presents!

I love birthdays.
